Best Mesotherapy Treatment in Boca Raton, FL

Mesotherapy was originally developed as a pain treatment, but this combination of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, hormones, and healthy plant extracts was found to improve skin health, reduce cellulite, and give a healthier glow overall, from the inside out.

While this specific process has not been approved by the FDA, the ingredients in serums used at licensed medical spas like Cosmetica have been approved by the FDA and are known to be safe and healthy.

Mesotherapy involves a series of small needle punctures containing serum, entering the mesoderm layer of skin and boosting your blood flow and immune response to the treated area. You may need to take a day or two off work to relax your skin and allow any swelling or redness to heal, but this outpatient procedure works well for many people and can rejuvenate your body for months.

How Does Mesotherapy Work?

mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is one of the original types of injections that improve skin health and youthfulness.

Developed in 1952 to treat pain, this process involves a combination of vitamins, hormones, enzymes, and plant extracts which, like other types of dermal fillers, are injected into the face. Mesotherapy can also be injected to other parts of the body, but it is particularly beneficial for glowing, younger skin around your forehead and cheeks.

While mesotherapy can help to relieve some long-term pain by boosting overall health, it also rejuvenates the skin, tightens it to remove fine lines and wrinkles, and even removes some fat.

Although mesotherapy has not been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), many of the ingredients in the serums used throughout the process have been approved as safe for cosmetic or dermatological treatments. Mesotherapy can be applied in conjunction with other treatments like dermabrasion or chemical peels to keep your skin healthy and glowing for months.

The Benefits of Mesotherapy All Over the Body

Mesotherapy can improve the tone and health of your skin in several areas, particularly your face. However, it may also be used to:

  • Remove fat and cellulite from some areas, including the face.
  • Tighten loose or sagging skin.
  • Recontour the body for a more youthful appearance.
  • Lighten uneven skin tone.
  • Fade wrinkles, lines, and sun damage.
  • Help with some types of alopecia, or hair loss.

Treatment with mesotherapy starts with a series of several needles that reach into the middle layer of your skin, or the mesoderm. By injecting healthy chemicals like enzymes and vitamins into that depth of your skin, mesotherapy better reduces inflammation, heals damaged tissues, and improves circulation.

Although it can take several sessions, spread out over weeks or months, to see full results, the benefits can last even longer.

What Is the Mesotherapy Procedure Like?

Once you have completed a consultation with a licensed aesthetician at Cosmetica Med Spa, you can set up your first appointment for mesotherapy.

During the session, you may have a numbing agent applied to your skin to reduce any pain sensations, but like many similar wellness treatments, you are unlikely to need anesthetic. Your aesthetician will then insert the personalized combination of mesotherapy chemicals into a patented needle gun. They will begin a series of rapid injections that reach from 1 to 4 millimeters into your skin — just deep enough to reach the mesoderm layer, beneath the epidermis. These injections insert a small amount of revitalizing serum into your skin, spread out over a wider area to stimulate more blood vessels and skin cells to absorb this healing treatment.

How Much Does It Cost?

Depending on where you want mesotherapy injections, how much rejuvenating treatment you want, and whether or not it is your first mesotherapy session, this procedure can cost between $250 and $600. You can expect to need between three and fifteen mesotherapy sessions to achieve the desired rejuvenating effect.

Facial rejuvenation can involve about four treatments with two to three weeks between each treatment for the first, strongest results. Cellulite reduction in other parts of the body can benefit from three to four treatments in each major area, with three to four weeks between each session. Once the initial suite of treatments is complete, you might go back every few months for a “touchup,” but you may not need as many sessions.

Each session is outpatient, so you can safely leave the facility and resume your normal activities. You may want to take a day or two off work, school, or exercise in order to relax and let your skin heal, but it is not necessary if your side effects are mild.

Are There Side Effects From Mesotherapy?

There are some potential mild side effects associated with mesotherapy treatment, including these:

  • Superficial pain and sensitivity
  • Swelling
  • Itching
  • Redness
  • Bruising or bumps around the injection site
  • Dark patches on the skin
  • A rash around the injection site

These should clear up on their own within a few days after treatment. If these side effects do not go away or they get worse, contact Cosmetica Med Spa for help.
