Freshly treated skin is more sensitive to the sun. Skip sunburn and tanning for about a week before each session, stay out of direct sun afterward, and wear SPF 30 or higher every day. If a beach day or boat trip is on the calendar, book your session for after it, not the day before.

Good to know before you book
Microneedling works for most skin types and tones. Because it doesn't use heat or light, it carries a lower risk of pigment changes in darker skin than many laser treatments.
We'll postpone treatment if you have an active breakout, a skin infection or a cold sore, if you're pregnant, or if you've taken isotretinoin in the last six months. If you get cold sores, tell us ahead of time, since an antiviral may be recommended. Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids three to five days beforehand.
