Our medical weight loss program combines prescription tirzepatide (Zepbound) with regular medical supervision to help you lose weight safely and keep it off. At Cosmetica Med Spa in Boca Raton, the program is a simple $100 monthly membership.

How the program works

Consultation and labs. We start with a medical consultation and bloodwork to make sure treatment is safe for you.

Your plan. If you're a candidate, your provider prescribes tirzepatide and sets a dosing schedule that increases gradually.

Ongoing check-ins. Regular visits track your progress, side effects and dose so your plan keeps working.

How tirzepatide works

Tirzepatide acts on two hormone pathways, GLP-1 and GIP, that help regulate appetite and blood sugar. Most people feel fuller sooner and have fewer cravings. It's a once-weekly injection.

What to expect in the first months

Tirzepatide is started at a low dose and increased gradually. Under the FDA-approved Zepbound schedule, the starting dose is 2.5 mg once a week for four weeks, then the dose can increase in 2.5 mg steps at least four weeks apart, up to a maximum of 15 mg. Going slowly helps your body adjust and keeps side effects more manageable. Your provider decides when, or whether, to increase your dose at each check-in.

• Weeks 1 to 4: starter dose. Many people notice less appetite and fewer cravings.
• Months 2 to 4: dose adjustments based on your progress and how you feel.
• Ongoing: regular check-ins to track weight, side effects and lab work, and to plan maintenance.

Who shouldn't use tirzepatide?

Tirzepatide isn't right for everyone. It shouldn't be used if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer, if you have multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), or if you're pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Tell us about any history of pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney disease or diabetic eye disease. We review your health history and bloodwork before prescribing.

Semaglutide or tirzepatide?

Getting the most from your program

• Prioritize protein at every meal to help protect muscle while you lose weight.
• Add strength training two to three times a week if you can.
• Drink plenty of water, especially if you have nausea or constipation.
• Eat smaller meals and stop when you feel full.

The membership is $100 per month for medical supervision and check-ins. Medication and bloodwork are not included and are billed separately. Your provider will review those costs with you before you start.
