How Botox works
Botox is a purified neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes the specific muscles it's injected into. When those muscles contract less, the skin above them smooths out, and regular treatment can help keep new lines from deepening. Because only targeted muscles are treated, you can still smile, frown and raise your brows naturally.
Botox for men
More men than ever get Botox, often called "Brotox." The most popular areas are forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet. Men usually have stronger facial muscles, so they typically need about 5 to 10 more units per area for a natural result, and our injectors focus on softening lines while keeping a strong, masculine look, never a frozen one.
What to expect at your appointment
Consultation. Your injector studies how your face moves, talks through your goals and recommends the areas and number of units for a natural result.
Treatment. After cleansing the skin, a series of tiny injections is placed in each area. Most appointments take about 15 minutes.
Afterward. There's no downtime. You may see small bumps at the injection points for 15 to 30 minutes, and occasionally a small bruise.
Results
Lines begin to soften within three to seven days, with full results at 10 to 14 days. Most people schedule maintenance every three to four months. Individual results vary.
Botox cost in Boca Raton
Botox is $9.99 per unit, so your cost depends on the areas you treat and how many units your muscles need. Your injector will give you an exact price at your consultation before anything is done. A $100 deposit is collected when you book and credited to your treatment. If you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment, your deposit stays on your account as a credit. If you miss your appointment or cancel less than 24 hours before, the $100 deposit is forfeited and non-refundable.

When to start
There's no right age. A good time to start is when lines begin to stay on your face after you stop making the expression, which for many people happens somewhere in their late 20s to 30s. Starting with a lighter dose, often called baby Botox, is a simple way to see how your face responds. Botox Cosmetic is approved for adults 18 and older.

How to prepare
- If your doctor agrees, skip ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil and vitamin E for a few days beforehand, since they can make bruising more likely. Tylenol is fine.
- Avoid alcohol the night before.
- Come with a clean face, or plan to remove makeup when you arrive.
- Book at least 2 weeks before an event or photos so you're at full results.
Botox aftercare timeline
- First hour: gently frown, raise your brows and smile every 15 minutes.
- First 4 hours: stay upright. Makeup can go on gently after 4 hours.
- First 6 hours: don't touch, rub or massage the treated areas.
- First 24 hours: skip strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas, hot tubs and facials.
- Days 3 to 7: lines start to soften.
- Days 10 to 14: full results. This is the right time for a check-in if you'd like a small adjustment.
- Months 3 to 4: movement gradually returns. Book your next visit to keep results consistent.
What happens if you stop
Nothing dramatic. Over 3 to 4 months, your muscles gradually move the way they did before, and lines return to how they would have looked without treatment. You won't look older than you would have, and you can restart any time.
Side effects and safety
Side effects are usually mild and short-lived: redness, small bumps or a bruise at the injection points, and occasionally a headache. Less often, a brow or eyelid can feel heavy or droop for a few weeks while the product wears off. Choosing an experienced injector and following aftercare lowers these risks. What is baby Botox?

Masseter Botox uses at least 25 units per side, so 50 units minimum, which is about $500 at $9.99 per unit. It takes effect over one to two weeks and, like other Botox treatments, lasts about three to four months.
What is the 4-hour rule for Botox?
Stay upright for four hours after your injections, and don't touch, rub or massage the treated areas for six hours. That gives the Botox time to settle into the muscles where it was placed. You can go back to work right away. Just save strenuous exercise for the next day.
How long does Botox last?
Most people see results for about three to four months. Some people, especially those who treat the same areas regularly, find their results last a little longer.
When will I see results?
You'll usually notice softening within three to seven days, with full results at 10 to 14 days. We schedule a check-in around two weeks to make sure you're happy.
