How it works
Hyaluronidase is injected where the filler sits, where it breaks the filler down so your body can absorb it naturally.
What to expect
Treatment takes about 15 to 30 minutes. Mild swelling is common for a day or two.
Signs your filler may need correcting
- A puffy ridge or "shelf" above the lip line, which often means filler has migrated
- Firm lumps you can see or feel weeks after treatment
- Lips or features that look overfilled or out of proportion
- One side noticeably fuller than the other after swelling has settled
Brand-new filler can look uneven for the first couple of weeks while swelling settles, so we usually recommend waiting about two weeks before dissolving, unless there's a medical concern.
Correcting filler from another provider

Our injectors assess what's there, dissolve what needs to go and help you plan a natural-looking fresh start. How many sessions will I need?
Many people see the change they want after one session. Larger amounts of filler, or filler that has been in place for a long time, sometimes need a second session a few days to two weeks later.
After dissolving
- Mild swelling, redness or tenderness usually settles within a day or two.
- The treated area may briefly look flatter than you expect. That's temporary and settles within a week or two.
- Wait about two weeks before new filler, so your injector can see a clear starting point.
Urgent concerns

How quickly does filler dissolve?
Hyaluronidase starts working within hours, and most filler breaks down within 24 to 48 hours.
Can I get new filler afterward?
Yes. We usually recommend waiting about two weeks before new filler so the area can settle.
Does it dissolve all fillers?
Hyaluronidase only dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers, like Juvederm and Restylane. It doesn't work on Sculptra or other types.
Is it safe?
It's widely used and generally safe. A rare allergy is possible, so we review your history first.
