LED light therapy
LED light therapy uses a panel of light-emitting diodes to deliver specific wavelengths of light to the skin. Red light is commonly used to calm redness and irritation and to support collagen, which is why it pairs so well with facials, peels and microneedling. Treatment is painless and relaxing, with no downtime, and benefits build with regular sessions. Ask your esthetician about adding LED to your next facial.

What to expect
Your esthetician cleanses and analyzes your skin, then tailors the treatment. Most facials take about 60 minutes, and you can go straight back to your day. Many facials finish with a soothing jelly mask chosen for your skin.

How to prepare
- Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids two to three days before a facial that includes exfoliation or peels.
- Avoid waxing or tanning the treatment area for a week beforehand.
- Tell your esthetician about any medications, recent treatments or skin sensitivities.
Aftercare
- Wear SPF 30 or higher every day, especially after peels and exfoliation.
- Skip makeup for the rest of the day if you can, to let your skin breathe.
- Hold off on retinoids, scrubs and heavy workouts for 24 to 48 hours.
Facials and injectables
Facials pair well with Botox and fillers. If you're planning both, it's usually best to have your facial a few days before your injectables, or to wait about two weeks after filler before a facial involving pressure or massage on the treated area. Your provider can help you time them.
Results
Skin looks fresher and more radiant right away, with better results from regular treatments. Individual results vary.
Your routine at home
What you do between visits matters as much as the facial itself. We carry professional skin care, including Environ and Skinbetter Science, and your esthetician can recommend a simple routine for your skin type. A gentle cleanser, a targeted serum, moisturizer and daily sunscreen cover the basics for most people.

It depends on your skin type and goals. Your esthetician will assess your skin and recommend a treatment, whether that's deep hydration, exfoliation or a clarifying facial.

Every four to six weeks is ideal for most people, matching the skin's natural renewal cycle.
What does LED light therapy do?
LED light therapy shines specific wavelengths of light on the skin. Red light is used to calm the skin and support collagen, and it's often added to the end of a facial. It's painless, with no downtime, and results build with regular sessions.
What's the difference between a medical facial and a spa facial?
Medical-grade facials use professional products and techniques chosen for specific skin concerns, in a setting overseen by a medical team.
